They sent a message at 6:30 at night and said if we don't reply by 6:00 AM our appointment would be cancelled. The email was offensive and rude. I called and the person who answered the phone was more than rude. Where did good customer service go? Would never recommend this awful company to anyone.

The worst

I dropped off my appliance myself. I gave them a $100 deposit with the idea that it would go towards the repair. It did not. The smell of marijuana was obvious, the tech broke another part when examining the appliance, the woman I spoke to on the phone was rude and ignorant, they quoted a price that was much too high ($283). I declined the repair, picked up the appliance myself and was refused any refund of my down payment money despite the fact they did nothing. I ended up making the repair myself for $23 dollars. I do not recommend this dump to anyone. Rude and ignorant seems to be their mission statement.

The lady in the office ruins the company name

Unfortunately I had to go with this company because my appliance was still under warranty and this was the company they sent out. The guy that came to the house was awesome.

Unfortunately you have to deal with the lady who has absolutely no customer service skills what so ever. She always answers the phone like you’re bothering her and she always seem to pick something to try to argue about with the customer. My experience was so unpleasant that I went to the place to try and talk to someone above her... unfortunately she is “one” of the owners and proceeded to call the police on me!

She talks a good game behind the phone but when you try to go there and get answers ( without getting hung up on) she calls the cops!

My condolences to her husband. I pray your business doesn’t get ruined by her.

Rude jerks

I called Night Owl Appliance Repair because I had a recall on my Bosch dishwasher. The person that answered the phone was very rude and unprofessional. She told me they would not be able to fix my dishwasher, as the part I needed was on back order and asked why I waited so long to call for a recall. I am not the original owner of the dishwasher, and obviously the previous owner of the house got the recall notice, not me. I read about the recall in the newspaper. I don't know why this would have made any difference anyway. She acted like it was my fault that the dishwasher was defective and told me to call back in a month. Fat chance, Night Owl. The only call I am making is to the BBB and to Bosch to tell them never to use them as a service. You Suck Night Owl. I hope you go out of business.

I have to remove negative reviews, she will refund $500 of the $790 I paid for parts, and $299.00 for unused labor. $500 is better than nothing.

Began – 7/13/17 I only used Nite Owl because Thermador uses them as their approved repair provider, and Thermador did not have an opening for 10 days. Made an appointment with Tracy the receptionist/Owner. Nite Owl tech Dave (owner) showed up on scheduled date - assessed the problem and told me they would order all the parts they could possibly need so they would only have to come back one time, and I would be refunded for any parts not used for the repair. Tracy (owner) told me I had to pay for ALL the parts $790.00 up front. I had to send a check, for $790.00 or be charged 6% additional to use a credit card. I waited over 2.5 weeks for the parts to come in and an appointment to be scheduled for 8/28/17, over a month from the first appointment. Tracy called on 8/25/17 to cancel because the tech Dave (owner) had to have hand surgery. She did not know when he would be back and able to schedule appointments. I called Thermador to come out and repair the freezer, scheduled an appt for 8/28/17. Called Tracy back to ask about the parts, she said if Thermador was doing the repair I could come and get the parts and Nite Owl would refund any unused parts not opened. I sent one of our employees to pick up the parts. 8/28/17 Thermador used one part for $45.00. I called Tracy to set up the return and she told me she would not refund any parts because I cancelled the appointment and she wrote on the receipt NO Refunds. She said she didn't cancel the appointment, she just rescheduled with no definitive date. I did not see the "no refunds" written on the receipt until she told me it was on there. If I was the one picking up the parts and she told me that, I would never have accepted them. I would have asked for a refund right there. Thermador intervened, Nite Owl agreed to accept the parts back if I removed negative reviews from online. 9/11/17, 9/12/17 Called Nite Owl to set up return - left messages, no one returned my calls. Sept. 13, 2017 Called Nite Owl again and told them I was coming there to return the parts, when I got there, Tracy started the conversation by telling me she would not take back the parts because the reviews were still showing up online. She escalated the situation by calling me names, swearing and ordering me out of her shop. I said I would not leave until she took the parts back, she came charging at me and I used the box of parts to block her as she continued to yell in my face. She called the police and her husband Dave. Dave arrived after the police were there, and began swearing and calling me names. They are the rudest, most corrupt "business" people I have ever dealt with. I would like a refund of the parts we didn't need, weren't used, were never opened, and over paid for.

I was told something akin to "We might be able to make it in the afternoon." However, I was adamant that I could only have someone at the house in the afternoon from the start. One would think that they would try to find a day where they could accommodate my schedule. On the morning of the scheduled repair, I was informed that they wouldn't be able to make it and would the following Thursday, a week later, be okay. A full week? After I've been waiting for a week already? Having read the other reviews, I'm glad that they didn't come out as I would probably be waiting for a part. Thanks for saving me some time.

Worst company I've dealt with

Just had a horrible, horrible, horrible experience with them yesterday! I wish I had checked reviews earlier. I got their number by Decor's customer service, and didn't even think about shopping around. I asked for fixing 2 out of 5 of my burners. And the guy came and inspected and suggested me replacing some Ignitor parts for all 5 burners, to avoid future service. The difference between replacing 2 and 5 they quoted for me is about $100+, so I said ok over the phone. However it turns out the quote they gave me doesn't include the parts for the other 3 burners. This might be some misunderstanding over the phone, but worse thing is coming next. The second time the guy came with some parts and didn't solve the problem of the burner I was originally called for. The guy said the whole burner needs to be replaced, so more parts need to be ordered. I talked to the lady over the phone a few times to address my concern about more parts putting in without fixing the main issue. The lady was absolutely rude and said if I don't want to pay for their service then don't waste any more of their time. What kind of customer service is that! And I just want my 2 original burners got fixed and be done with them. Yesterday, the guy came with the new burner and "fixed" one problem burner and said i didn't ask them to fix the other burner. When I tried to remind him our conversation about the other burner on the first day, he jumped up and said I kept changing and playing game with them, he could take out all the parts he put in and leave, or I pay the money now, or he's going to call police! Even thinking about this, make me want to cry. I've never been treated this way in my whole life! And this is in my own house! I trusted the service people associated with manufactures over others, this one is totally disappointing. I ended up paying $800 fixed one burner, and some ignition lights that I didn't even ask to replace. And I'm going to call Decor to complain. Although I don't know if that would make any difference or not, reading so many bad reviews, as long as they are still partnering with manufactures, there are always people like me end up calling them without first looking for reviews. I've learned my lesson today, I'll remember that - always check reviews!!!

ne of the worst customer service companies I have EVER dealt with. The lady who answers the phone needs to learn people skills and how to be flexible to meet customers needs. Instead of offering a solution to the scheduling conflict she flat out said we are full and we are canceling with you today. You will have to call the warranty company to reschedule. The words she will never say is....let me see if there is a way we can help you with your situation. You have been warned!!! LG factory repair company came out fixed same day. Had parts on van!! There was also a tech bulletin to change a part because lg knew there was a problem. Note owl tech was here 10 minutes, said the fan did not work, which it does, and left saying they needed to order parts that were not needed. This could have gone on for weeks!! They never mentioned any tech bulletin! Lg repair said all factory certified locations get notified of tech bulletins.

Nite Owl Appliance Repair in Joliet, IL The BBB rarely issues a rating of 'F.' But that's the rating it gives for this sorry imitation of a service company. Just go to the Chgo BBB website to verify: http://www.bbb.org/chicago/business-reviews/appliances-small-service-and-repair/nite-owl-appliance-repairs-in-joliet-il-8825**** You never want to have any contact with this bottom-of-the-barrel outfit. They routinely lie to you and do it in an obnoxious, arrogant, rude manner. They'll lie about availabiloity of parts. On the inital visit, they promise to return with parts to make the repair in a few days. They then reschedule appointments several times over a period of weeks. When they eventually do show up, chances are they will make the existing probelm worse by using guesswork by inadequately trained personnel. They routinely deny any fault on their part, telling customers their applicance is a lemon. If arrogance & rudeness were crimes, the foul-mouthed husband & wife owners of this sleezy operation would have been arrested & put in jail a long time ago. They did not earn their 'F' rating by the Better Business Bureau without really trying! To counteract authentic negative reviews, these people routinely write & post their own, phony positive reviews; they're so clever, they can't even disguise their identity too well.

NITE OWL took my Grandma's money. Nite Owl did not fix her washer.

Nite Owl made an appointment with her to come back and they did not show or call her. Grandma called SEARS 1-80*-***-****.

SEARS fixed the problem and they were nice to her. Grandma says that the owners of NITE OWL use disrespectful written comments and statements like theirs are too vulgar.
